On May 20, La Roche College students will be embarking on the first SASU (Study Abroad Study USA) trip to Morocco and Southern Spain. This nine day, faculty directed trip will arrive in Casablanca and then quickly depart for a two day stay in Rabat. In addition to Rabat, students will be appreciating this country’s rich history and heritage in Fes, Chefchaouen and Tanger. The country’s natural beauty is only matched by its stunning architecture and exotic culture, shaped by a diffusion of Andalusian, Arabic, and Berber heritage.
Students and Faculty will stay overnight in Tanger, travelling to Algeciras in the morning in order to catch the ferry to Cordoba, Spain. Once in Spain, students will continue learning about Andalusian and Arabic culture in Cordoba, Granada and Torremolinos.
