Hi everyone! My name is Maria and I am terrible at writing bios!! Overall, I feel like my life has been pretty average, so I have been having a hard time making myself seem pretty interesting. While I might not have a lot of fun hobbies, my most favorite thing to do has to be eating…no lie. I love Jellybeans (juicy pear is my fav), cakes, cookies, pasta, pizza, and almost anything but seafood. Growing up, my mom was always making bake goods so overtime eating sweets has just become a part of my life! In my family, I am the middle child of 5 girls (yes, my poor dad), and I am also an aunt to 2 adorable nieces as well. I also have a Chocolate Lab named Winnie who is my sweet and crazy baby. She eats EVERYTHING and I mean food or not she eats it all…but what she eats in socks she makes up in cuddles and kisses even though she no longer fits on anyone’s lap!
When it comes to design, I have always enjoyed being creative, but I never really knew how to apply it. As time progressed, I started making cheer bows, shirts, as well as dog bows and started selling them on Etsy. Through this, I finally found out how much I loved making things through creative means and then watching people wear and enjoy my designs was the cherry on top! By seeing people utilize my designs, it in a way transitioned into my love for Interior Design. I absolutely love being able to take a simple idea or concept and turn it into floor plans, then models, and then photorealistic renderings. When it comes to my life goals, my overarching goal (as cheesy as it sounds) is to be happy and to be able to enjoy every day as it is. Career wise, I am pretty open to both Commercial and Residential design, being that I have enjoyed all projects so far in both categories, and eventually would love to open my own business at some point down the road.
One thing I have learned in life is that it’s important to say ‘yes’ to new things, and to try everything (in moderation) at least once!
